Since Croatian accession to the EU customs controls at the borders with neighboring EU countries (Slovenia, Hungary) were abolished. On the other hand, customs controls at borders with non-EU countries (Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro) remain or tightening up.
