With a passport without a visa to Croatia can travel citizens of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, the Vatican and some non-European countries.

Since Croatian accession to the EU customs controls at the borders with neighboring EU countries (Slovenia, Hungary) were abolished. On the other hand, customs controls at borders with non-EU countries (Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro) remain or tightening up.
